My name is Palmer and I have worked in college admissions for over 20 years, at both public and private institutions. The blog deals with topics related to colleges, family matters (including our trip to China to adopt), a Quote of the Week and who knows what else.
I am married to a wonderful woman named Jeannette. We have three sons and a daughter. We moved to Vancouver, Washington, in 2011. We previously lived in Fort Wayne IN, Klamath Falls OR, Wilmore KY, Salem OR and Spokane WA.
Just saw this photo, taken by Michael Evans, in Time magazine and it really spoke to me. I love the image of Ronald Reagan, then on the presidential campaign trail in 1980, reading through paperwork while Nancy rests on his lap. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. There are a lot of words encompassed in this one.
