What a beautiful precious girl. I have just caught up on your blogs. Laura gave me the site. My brother Dean is married to a lovely Chinese woman (we call her Lannie), and he has adopted her teen-age son (who we call Jake). They are thinking about bringing over Lannie's niece and adopting her. So we are learning bits about Chinese culture. Mom and Dad spent a week or two in China with Lannie's family. Incredible hospitality. Jake had the long pinkie nail that you mentioned in one post. It is a badge of honor indicating that you don't have to do manual labor. Dean made him cut it before starting high school in the U.S. or he would never have heard the end of it.
