On Saturday night, Grandpa Phil and Grandma Debbie took us to see the lights at the Rotary Gardens in their hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin. Our camera didn't cooperate very well, so I don't have many photos but here's a taste . . .
As we arrived, there were a number of model trains set up. Here, MelodyJoy and I are counting the cars in one train . . .

Pretending there was mistletoe . . .

The princesses sitting on Santa's throne . . .

Hi Palmer,
Not sure if you remember me, but we met once at a function at Hosanna shortly after you brought MelodyJoy home from China. My wife Amy used to teach at Hosanna, and we’re still waiting for our referral from China! I hadn’t checked your blog in quite a while, and I was really sorry to hear about your job situation. I thought you might try the school where I got my BA and am currently working on my MA: American Military University. It’s a totally online, fully accredited university based in Charles Town, West Virginia, and they currently have a variety of faculty and staff jobs posted on their website. You can check www.amu.apus.edu and click the Employment link at the bottom of the page to get more info. The faculty and staff there have been excellent and very student-oriented; it’s a great school. I don’t know what the pay and benefits are like, but it might be worth a look. Good Luck!

Thanks, Mike. That would be a real switch for me but I'll take a look. I appreciate the heads up!
