This evening was Blackhawk Christian's only home cross country meet of the season and, frankly, probably Jordan's best chance to win a medal, since the competition consisted of small to medium sized high schools. The weather was good for running--overcast and cooler than it has been lately, and not too humid.Unfortunately, this just wasn't his day. Jordan blames it on working too hard in practice yesterday. He ran the first two miles in 6:15 each but then fell off dramatically in the final third of the race, finishing in 20 minutes, 1 second. He didn't even finish as Blackhawk's #1 runner as Sam, a junior in his first year on the team, overtook him in the final stretch of the race. Jordan finished 11th. The top ten runners received ribbons or medals.
Blackhawk had three girls finish in the top ten and they won the team trophy on the female side of the competition.
