Blackhawk Junior-Senior Banquet

Last night was Blackhawk Christian School's Junior-Senior Banquet and Jordan went with Becca Howard, one of his classmates who ran cross country with him last fall. We are in a "small group" from church with Becca's parents.

Junior-Senior apparently is a big deal at BCS . . . a lot of the kids take part or all of the day off from school to get ready (Jordan skipped out after noon to get a haircut, wash the truck, etc.) and there was not one but two "after parties" and some of the kids added on more activities after that. Jordan didn't roll home until 4:00 in the morning.

Jordan and Becca took pictures at her parents' house and then came to our house so we could see her dress and take photos in front of a tree in our backyard that blossomed a few days ago.
After coming to our house, they joined four other couples at Foster Park near TUFW for yet more photographs. I have to say, there's something a little strange about watching your boy pull out of your driveway with a girl on the seat next him.

I'd love to know the story behind this particular picture . . .

High schoolers can take only so much formality, so the first after party was at a laser tag place and I guess most of them stayed in their formal wear for that. From there it was on to Crazy Pinz Entertainment Center for bowling and miniature golf and arcade games.
