The End of an Era

Today, Jameson said good-bye to Tom and Tina, his red ear slider water turtles. But don't worry, this doesn't really mark the end of our TurtleBoy, as he's still a big turtle fan and his room in Indiana will likely be decorated with turtle stuff. In Fort Wayne, he may morph into TortoiseBoy, though.

Jeremy, one of the students at OIT, bought a brand new tank, filter and heater, and came over this afternoon to adopt Jamey's two pets. We know it was a sad day for Jamey but he took it very well, knowing that it would have been hard to safely transport them 1800 miles in the middle of the summer.

While we wait for TortoiseBoy to emerge, Jameson has adopted three new pets . . .

I guess that if it has a shell, Jamey's a fan. He has a soft heart for hard-shelled creatures. And other hairless creatures with thick shells.

You wouldn't see ME sticking my hands in that tank and pulling out turtles (sorry, Jameson). Kudos to TurtleMom. I'll just take photos.
